Removals and publishing policy

We publish court opinions from the public record because the law should be readable without a subscription. We also know those documents name real people at difficult moments. Here is exactly how to reach us, and what we will and will not do.

The short version

If a page here is about you and you want it gone, email us

removals@docketx.ai, include the case name, the URL, and your connection to the case. We read every request and reply. We can remove a page from this site and block it from search engines. We cannot change the court's own record, and we will tell you honestly which is which.

What we publish and why

Published court opinions, from the public record

Court opinions are public documents and are not subject to copyright, they are the law itself. We reproduce opinions distributed in the Free Law Project's public bulk export, add citation context our own systems compute, and attribute the source on every page. Access to the law should not require a subscription; that gap is one reason people representing themselves lose cases they should win.

Limits we set for ourselves

What we will not do

No sealed or juvenile records

We publish only what the courts published. Anything sealed appearing here is an error we will fix immediately, not a position we defend.

No editing the record

Opinion text is reproduced as the public record has it. Anything we generate is labelled as ours.

No obstruction

We do not require a lawyer's letter, a fee, or a form to consider a removal request. An email from a person affected is enough to get a real answer.

Other requests

Corrections, privacy and press

Corrections to a page's non-record content: info@docketx.ai. Privacy and data requests about your own account: privacy@docketx.ai or the contact form. Press: press@docketx.ai. Our product data policy is published separately.

Not legal advice. Publishing court opinions is lawful because judicial opinions are not subject to copyright; source material is the Free Law Project public bulk export, attributed on every case page.
