DocketX builds verified legal AI. Every citation our system produces is checked against 18,123,788 real citations before a lawyer sees it, and citations that cannot be verified are blocked. Our products include DocketRouter, a legal research API that law firms build on with retrieval over real law, verified citations, an audit trail and published API docs, and DocketBuster, which helps people who go to court without a lawyer by explaining each step of a hearing with the rule behind it. We also maintain an open corpus on Hugging Face of 7,149,641 court opinions covering all 50 states, DC, the Supreme Court and every federal circuit in one uniform format, along with complete state law bundles that combine opinions, statutes and court rules for California, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina and North Dakota, with Wisconsin in progress.

The role

You will build and manage a pipeline of law firms and in house legal teams in Tennessee, based out of Nashville or Memphis. Most of your time will be spent in conversations with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads, understanding how they research and cite law today and showing them how citation verification and the audit trail work in practice. You will run product walkthroughs of DocketRouter, answer technical questions with help from the team, and point developers to the published API docs when they want to evaluate the API directly. Because the team is small, you will also bring what you hear from customers back into product and roadmap discussions.

What you will do

• Own the full sales cycle for law firms and in house legal teams in Tennessee, from first outreach to close
• Build relationships with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads
• Run demos of DocketRouter, including retrieval over real law, verified citations and the audit trail
• Explain how citation verification works, including that unverifiable citations are blocked before a lawyer sees them
• Coordinate technical evaluations, directing developer questions to the published API docs and to the team
• Report pipeline status accurately and share customer feedback with product

What we are looking for

• Experience selling software or information services to law firms, in house legal teams, or similar professional buyers
• Track record of owning a full sales cycle and closing agreements
• Ability to hold a credible conversation about legal research workflows and citation accuracy
• Comfort working with technical products and explaining how an API fits into a customer's systems
• Based in Nashville or Memphis, with willingness to travel within Tennessee to meet customers

Compensation

$140,000 base plus commission, and equity.
