DocketX builds verified legal AI. Every citation the system produces is checked against 18,123,788 real citations before a lawyer sees it, and citations that cannot be verified are blocked. Our products include DocketRouter, a legal research API that law firms build on with retrieval over real law, verified citations, an audit trail and published API docs, and DocketBuster, which helps people who go to court without a lawyer by explaining each step of a hearing with the rule behind it. We also maintain an open corpus of 7,149,641 court opinions on Hugging Face covering all 50 states, DC, the Supreme Court and every federal circuit in one uniform format, along with complete state law bundles that combine opinions, statutes and court rules for California, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina and North Dakota, with Wisconsin in progress.

The role

You will work with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads in the Southwest, learning how each firm or department currently handles legal research and where verified citations and an audit trail matter to them. Most of your time will be spent in first meetings, product walkthroughs of DocketRouter and the state law bundles, and follow up with the people who need to sign off. You will bring technical questions about the API, the corpus and the verification process back to the team, and you will help answer them in front of the customer. Because the team is small, you will also keep your own notes on what prospects ask for and share that with the people building the product.

What you will do

• Own pipeline and revenue for the Southwest territory, including Phoenix, Dallas and the surrounding markets
• Run outbound and inbound conversations with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads
• Demonstrate DocketRouter and the state law bundles, including how citation verification and the audit trail work
• Coordinate with the team on technical questions about the API, the published docs and the open corpus
• Manage deals from first meeting through evaluation, pricing discussion and signature
• Report on territory activity and share customer feedback with the product side of the team

What we are looking for

• Experience selling software or data products to law firms, in house legal teams or other professional services buyers
• Comfort speaking with senior buyers such as managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads
• Ability to explain a technical product, including an API, without an engineer in the room
• A record of managing a territory and a pipeline independently
• Based in Phoenix, Dallas or elsewhere in the Southwest, with willingness to travel within the territory

Compensation

$200,000 base plus commission, and equity.
