DocketX builds verified legal AI. Every citation the system produces is checked against 18,123,788 real citations before a lawyer sees it, and citations that cannot be verified are blocked. Our products include DocketRouter, a legal research API that law firms build on with retrieval over real law, verified citations, an audit trail and published API docs, and DocketBuster, which helps people who go to court without a lawyer by explaining each step of a hearing with the rule behind it. We also publish an open corpus of 7,149,641 court opinions on Hugging Face covering all 50 states, DC, the Supreme Court and every federal circuit in one uniform format, along with complete state law bundles for California, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina and North Dakota, with Wisconsin in progress.

The role

You will work with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads at law firms and in house legal teams in Texas. Most days involve outreach to new accounts, discovery calls, product demonstrations, and follow up with people already in your pipeline. You will explain how citation verification works and how DocketRouter fits into the research and drafting work a firm already does, which means answering detailed questions about retrieval, verified citations and the audit trail. Because the team is small, you will also pass what you hear from buyers back to the people building the product. Travel within Texas to meet customers is part of the job.

What you will do

• Build and manage a pipeline of law firms and in house legal teams across Texas
• Run discovery calls and product demonstrations with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads
• Explain how citation verification, the audit trail and the DocketRouter API work in terms buyers can evaluate
• Manage deals from first contact through signed agreement, including pricing conversations and security or procurement review
• Keep account and pipeline records accurate and report on progress
• Share customer questions, objections and requests with the product and engineering side of the team

What we are looking for

• Experience selling software or data products to law firms, in house legal teams, or other professional services buyers
• A track record of closing full cycle deals and meeting quota
• Comfort holding technical conversations about APIs and how a product is integrated, with support from the team
• Clear written and verbal communication, including with senior buyers such as managing partners and general counsel
• Based in Austin, Dallas or Houston, and able to travel within Texas to meet customers

Compensation

$140,000 base plus commission, and equity.
