DocketX builds verified legal AI. Every citation the system produces is checked against 18,123,788 real citations before a lawyer sees it, and citations that cannot be verified are blocked. Our products include DocketRouter, a legal research API with retrieval over real law, verified citations, an audit trail and published API docs, and DocketBuster, which helps people who go to court without a lawyer by explaining each step of a hearing with the rule behind it. We also maintain an open corpus of 7,149,641 court opinions on Hugging Face covering all 50 states, DC, the Supreme Court and every federal circuit in one uniform format, along with complete state law bundles for California, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina and North Dakota, with Wisconsin in progress.

The role

You will work with managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads, most of whom want to understand how verification actually works before they buy. Day to day, you will run outbound and inbound conversations, give product demonstrations, and walk buyers through DocketRouter, the published API docs and the state law bundles that match their practice. You will handle procurement and security review questions, coordinate technical follow ups with the team, and manage your pipeline through close. The team is small, so you will also bring back what you hear from buyers and help shape how we describe the product.

What you will do

• Own the full sales cycle for law firms and in house legal teams in the New York market, from first contact to signed contract
• Run product demonstrations of DocketRouter and the state law bundles for managing partners, general counsel and litigation leads
• Explain how citation verification and the audit trail work, and answer follow up questions accurately
• Build and maintain a pipeline through outbound outreach, inbound follow up and referrals
• Coordinate with the team on technical questions, security reviews and procurement requirements
• Report what buyers ask for, including which state law coverage they need

What we are looking for

• Experience selling software or data products to law firms, in house legal teams or another professional services buyer
• A track record of closing deals with senior buyers such as managing partners or general counsel
• Comfort discussing a technical product, including an API and published documentation, without a sales engineer in the room
• Clear written and verbal communication, and accuracy when describing what the product does and does not do
• Based in New York City or able to work from our New York office and meet customers in person

Compensation

$175,000 base plus commission, and equity.
